Sales Overview Dashboard: Track Sales and Refunds
Use the Sales Overview dashboard to get a detailed breakdown of all sales transactions, including refunds. It’s designed to give you a clear view of your overall sales performance.
Key Highlights:
Sales and Refunds Breakdown: Displays total sales and refunds, providing a complete picture of revenue.
Refunds Display: Refunds appear as negative values, both excluding and including VAT.
Tip: This dashboard helps you quickly assess net revenue by accounting for both sales and refunds.
Payment Overview Dashboard: Track Payments and Payouts
The Payment Overview dashboard focuses on money movement, summarizing all payments received and payouts made to users' bank accounts. It’s the go-to dashboard for monitoring financial transfers.
Key Highlights:
Payments Defined: These are funds received by users, such as payments to their Kanpla account balance, POS transactions, or express purchases.
Payouts Defined: These are transfers from the users bank account, such as a payout of a user’s balance to their bank account or refunds from the POS.
Refunds Exclusion: Refunds are not shown in this dashboard. They are tracked separately in the Sales Overview.
Important Note: Payments represent money coming into user accounts, while payouts represent money going out to bank accounts.
Payments vs. Payouts: Key Distinction
To clarify the terms:
Payments: Transactions where e.g. users make a payment to their Kanpla account balance, express purchases or sales via POS.
Payouts: Transfers from the user’s balance to their bank account, either as withdrawals or refunds through POS.
Refunds Explained: A refund is the opposite of an order. It adds money back to the user’s Kanpla account balance, which can later be paid out or used for new purchases.
