What the Sales Overview Dashboard Displays

The Sales Overview dashboard provides key insights into your sales performance, including both sales and refunds. Here’s a breakdown of the key sections:

  • Sales Excl. VAT: Displays sales figures excluding VAT. This represents the net sales amount before tax is added, giving you a clear picture of your base revenue.

  • Sales Incl. VAT: Shows the total gross sales amount paid by customers, including both the base price of goods/services and the VAT.

  • Number of Orders: The total number of transactions or purchases made by customers.

  • Average Order Incl. VAT: The average order value, calculated by dividing the sales including VAT by the total number of orders.

Key Metrics and Insights

  • Sales by Category: Shows how different product categories are performing in terms of sales.

  • Top-Selling Products: Highlights the best-selling products, helping you identify popular items.

  • Sales by Location: Provides insights into which locations are generating the most sales.

  • Top-Selling Locations: Shows which specific locations are the top performers in terms of revenue.

Understanding Orders and Refunds

At the bottom of the Sales Overview dashboard, you'll find a section called All Orders and Refunds. This area summarizes both sales and refunds, with refunds displayed as negative values. To view refunds clearly:

  • Export Data: Export your data for a specific period, apply a filter, and sort by the negative values in the Total Excluding VAT and Total Including VAT columns.

  • Filter for Refunds: You can also use the filtering options to specifically view refunds by selecting "Refunds" in the filter bar in the very top of the dashboard.
