Understanding the Payment Overview Dashboard

The Payment Overview focuses on the movement of money, summarizing all payments received and payouts made to and from users. Below are the key metrics you’ll encounter:

Total Net Value of Transactions: This metric shows the combined value of all payments and payouts.

Total Number of Transactions: This represents the total number of payments and payouts combined.

Important: This is not your actual revenue or earnings. It may also include funds users still have in their balance, which they can request to be paid out to their bank account.

Important Note: There may be instances where the Sales and Payment reports from the dashboards do not align. This discrepancy can occur due to factors such as:

  • Future Orders: Payments might have been made for orders that are yet to be delivered.

  • Wallet Top-Ups: A user may add funds to their wallet (e.g., 500 DKK), which is reflected in the payment report but not in the sales report, as no revenue is recorded—only the user balance changes.

For immediate transactions, such as those processed via the POS (Point of Sale), the Sales dashboard will generally align directly with the Payments dashboard.

Example:
If the payment report shows total payments of 1,000 DKK, but the sales report reflects total sales of 600 DKK (excluding VAT) or 750 DKK (including VAT), the difference of 250 DKK could be attributed to:

  • Payments for future orders not yet delivered.

  • Funds remaining in users' wallet balances.

These differences explain why the reports may not always match perfectly.

Key Definitions

  • Payments: Money received from users, either to their Kanpla account balance or through express orders and direct POS payments.
Note: Payments are not direct earnings, as users can request payouts from their balance.

  • Payouts: All funds transferred from users’ balances to their bank accounts and POS refunds.
