How do I invite or register a child who isn't on the platform yet? (3 minute read)

Important: Before adding a child to the platform, always check the invitation dashboard to see if a personal invitation link already exists for them.

If a link is available, use it — this means an account has already been created by importing the child’s data from the previous system. Do not create a new link if a personal invitation link already exists, as this will lead duplicate accounts and duplicate orders.


Step 1: Check for an Existing Invitation Link

  1. Go to admin.kanpla.dk and log in with your credentials.

  2. In the left-hand panel, hover over Overview.

  3. Click on "Invitations" to open the invitations dashboard, where you’ll find personal invitation links.

  4. In the top-right corner there's a filter location – proceed to filter by the child’s school.

  5. Use the search bar in the top-right corner to look up the child’s name.

  6. If the child appears:

    • Click the copy icon next to the green Invite button to copy the link.

    • Send this link to the correct parent.
      Important: Make sure you’ve confirmed the identity of the parent, as this link provides access to order on behalf of the child and view their information.


Step 2: If the Child Doesn’t Have an Invitation Link in the Dashboard

This typically applies to new children who were not imported to the Kanpla system.

Before proceeding, double-check that no personal invitation link exists to avoid creating duplicate accounts.

How to Create a New Invitation Link:

  1. Go to admin.kanpla.dk and log in.

  2. In the left-hand panel, click Settings.

  3. Select Salesplaces.

  4. Use the search field in the top-right corner to find the school by searching for the school's name.

  5. Hover over the school name and click the pencil icon on the far right.

  6. On the General page, find the Onboarding section.

  7. Copy the invitation link by clicking the copy icon next to the link.


Step 3: Creating an Account Using the Generic Invitation Link

Note: You can either create the account on behalf of the user or guide them through the steps below to create it themselves.

  1. Open a new browser window.

  2. Paste the invitation link into the address bar.

  3. Follow the steps provided through the invitation link and enter the required information:

    • Parent’s email address

    • The child’s class

    • The child’s full name

    • A temporary password (the parent can update this after logging in)

  4. Send the login credentials you’ve created to the parent.
