In Kanpla, an individual deadline is a specific deadline for a single product, meaning that the product will close for ordering at a different time than the rest of the module.
A deadline is the latest time a customer can place an order for that product. Once the deadline has passed, the product will no longer be available to order for that day. This is useful if certain products need to be ordered earlier than others – for example, if breakfast items need to be prepared before lunch options.
When you set a product-specific deadline, it will override the general deadline set for the entire module.
Note: This feature is not available for products in the Flexible Subscription or Menu modules.
This step-by-step guide shows you how to create an individual deadline for a specific product in Kanpla:
Step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Go to the Admin Panel, then click on “Mealplan” in the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Select the product you want to edit by pressing “Edit avaliability”.
Step 3: Scroll down in the product editor until you find the section called “Individual Deadline.”
Step 4: Click “Activate” to enable the product deadline.
Now choose how you want to set it:
Days in advance only (e.g. 2 days before)
Days in advance at a specific time (e.g. 2 days before at 14:00)
Example: If you set the deadline to “2 days before at 14:00”, guests must order by 2 PM, two days in advance. If they miss the deadline, the product will no longer appear as available.
Step 5: Press “OK” to apply the deadline.
Step 6: Click “Save” in the top-right corner to save your changes.
NOTE: If both a general module deadline and an individual product deadline are set, the product deadline will override the module deadline for that specific item.
This means the selected product will now close for ordering at the exact time you chose, instead of following the general module deadline. This is especially helpful for managing products that need earlier preparation or limited availability - like breakfast items, fresh specials, or same-day offers.
