A deadline in Kanpla is the final time a user can place an order for a specific day. Once the deadline has passed, it is no longer possible to create or modify an order – unless special rules like “soft deadlines” are enabled.
In other words, it’s the module’s “closing time” for orders. Once the deadline is exceeded, the kitchen is already preparing and planning – so new changes can no longer be accommodated.
This guide will show you step by step how to activate a deadline for your module.
Step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Click on “Settings” in the left-hand menu of the admin panel.
Step 2: Select the “Modules” feature.
Step 3: Choose the module you want to set a deadline for.
Step 4: Scroll down or locate the “Deadline” setting.
Step 5: Set your deadline rules:
Number of days in advance (e.g. 2 days before)
Fixed time of day (e.g. 2 days before at 14:00)
Weekly deadline (e.g. every Friday at 14:00)
For example, if you set the deadline to “2 days before at 14:00”, users must place their order no later than 2 PM two days in advance. Otherwise, the products in the module will appear as unavailable.
Step 6: Click “Save” to activate and apply your deadline rule.
