Connecting a scale to the POS app allows you to automatically register product weight and price during checkout — ideal for items sold by weight such as salads, baked goods, or produce.
Kanpla POS currently supports specific scale models that connect via USB.
Step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Connect the scale to a power outlet using the included cable. Wait for the screen to power on
Step 2: Configure the settings by following this guide: How do I set up a Scale?
Step 3: Connect the USB cable
Step 4: Open the Kanpla POS App
Step 5: Select “Device setup”
Step 6: Scroll to the section called “Scale”
Step 7: Select the device that contains “XXX-FDTI-XXXX”
Step 8: Select “CAS PDN”
Step 9: Once connected, the button will change to “Disconnect” - this confirms the printer is connected successfully.
Step 10: Ask the customer to go to Sales and select a weighted product. Verify that the scale responds correctly!
