How to set up the Adyen payment terminal? (3 minute read)

What you need:

  • An Adyen payment terminal

  • A power source

  • Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable for internet connection

  • Access to the terminal settings (PIN code: 7705)

  • A POS device with the Kanpla POS app installed


Follow this step-by-step guide to set up your payment terminal correctly:

Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: Open the back cover of the terminal by carefully removing the cover on the back of the terminal.

Step 2: Insert the dongle cable into the port inside the terminal, then close the back cover.

Step 3: Once the dongle cable is correctly connected, insert the back cover and tighten the cam lock screw to keep the cable secure and avoid accidental unplugging.

Step 4: Connect the terminal to a power source

Step 5: The screen will turn on and off a few times as it starts up - this is normal.


Setting up the preferred connection

Connect your terminal to the internet to enable communication with the Adyen payments platform.
