With the maximum and minimum quantity feature in Kanpla, you can decide how many units of a product a customer must order before they can complete their purchase. This helps you avoid small, inefficient orders and gives you more control over sales to better match your production and operational needs.
Imagine you’re selling juice bottles, and it only makes sense to deliver them in sets of three. Instead of creating three separate products or hoping the customer figures it out on their own, you can simply set the minimum quantity to 3. When the customer tries to add the product to their basket, they’ll now be required to select at least three units — otherwise, they won’t be able to complete the order.

Step 1: Go to the product and press ‘Edit product info”
Step 2: Scroll to the Variants section
Step 3: Click “+ select variants” to edit an existing or create a new
Select the desired variant and click “Edit”
Note: If you’re editing a variant that was created by another location or user, be careful — changes you make could affect other products that also use this variant.
or create a new variant by clicking “+ Create new variant”
Enter a name of the variant (e.g. Lasanga variants)
Set the minimum and maximum number of variant options a user can select when ordering this product.
Add the choices of different variants
Click the three dots next to the variant to set a specific price for a variant
Note: The price you set will be added as an extra cost if the customer selects this variant
Click “Save option” and your variant limitation will be saved
Click “Save and return” and then “Save and add”
Step 4: Press “Save” in the top right corner of Mealplan (Shop) to confirm the changes
Step-by-step guide for setting up a limitation for an existing variant:
Step 1: Choose the desired product
Step 2: Click “Edit product info”
Step 3: Go to “Variants and press “+ Select variants”
Step 4: Pick the added variant and press “Edit”
Step 5: Enter the minimum and maximum values to the variant
Step 6: To match the number of variants to the number of products selected, enter {productAmount} as both the minimum and maximum values for the variant.
For example, if a user selects 5 sandwich lunches, they’ll be able to choose exactly 5 drinks. If they select 7 lunches, they can choose 7 drinks.
Step 7: If you want to add limitations on behalf of a choice, click the three dots next to the choice

Step 8: Save the product
Set a Minimum Order Value or Item Count
You can require a minimum total amount or number of items before a guest can complete their order.
Step 1: Go to your Hospitality Module
Step 2: Click on the product you want to edit
Step 3: Select “Edit availability”
Step 4: Select the function “Minimum amount”
Step 5: Set the minimum number of products a user must add to their basket in order to complete an order
Step 6: Click “OK” to confirm the changes
Step 7: To save the changes, press “Save” in the top right corner.
