Introduction to Kanpla Label Types (4 minute read)

Updated over 5 months ago

Kanpla uses three main types of labels, each designed for different stages in the food production and delivery process. To ensure efficient printing, we recommend using a Brother printer, which is available on our website: Label Printer.

Below is an overview of each label type, though specifics can vary based on the needs at your salesplace.

Production Labels (70x38 mm or 8x3 fields on A4 sheet)

These labels indicate the required quantities of specific products at a salesplace. They can also be used to show portion sizes, such as the number of people a dish is intended to serve. They display one label per product.

Settings in Kanpla Administration: These are the default labels if no adjustments are made in the settings.

Show labels pr. order (4x4 on A4 or 70x38 mm with a label printer)

Product labels identify individual food items for each customer. For example, if delivering meals for 15 people, product labels specify who ordered which dish, ensuring correct distribution. The label will include the salesplace, customer name, and the items ordered.

Settings in Kanpla Administration: To activate product labels, toggle the “Show labels per order” option.

Delivery Labels (70x38 mm)

Delivery labels are attached to the boxes delivered to salesplaces. These labels include important delivery details like e.g. the address, route, the number of people served, and the company name to ensure the correct products are delivered to the right location.

These labels can be printed in two sizes:

  • 70x38 mm

  • 8x3 fields on an A4 sheet (adjustable in the print settings)

Without a label printer, the print format defaults to A4 (2x2, 4 labels per page). If a label printer is selected, the default size is 70x38 mm, with options to customize.

Each type of label plays a vital role in ensuring smooth food production, packaging, and delivery to the correct customers and salesplaces.

Settings in Kanpla Administration: Toggle on “Delivery labels” to enable this label.

Selector Labels (8x3 fields on an A4 sheet)

These labels are used to identify specific food items packed for individual customers. For example, if you are delivering food to 15 people, selector labels are placed on each dish specifying who has ordered which item. This ensures accurate distribution of orders.

Each label plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth production, packaging, and delivery of food to the correct people and locations.

Settings in Kanpla Administration:

To activate delivery labels, enable the ‘Show user's division’ option.
