Restarting your POS: Initial Troubleshooting guide for POS

💡 If you’re encountering minor issues such as loading errors, layout glitches, small bugs, or inconsistent performance on your POS system, we recommend starting with Action 1 for a quick reload. If the problem persists, proceed to Action 2, where the next steps will vary depending on your device.


Action 1: Reload the app

Open Kanpla POS, go to Need Help, and tap the green Reload button. This often fixes minor issues quickly.


Action 2: If issues persist proceed with the action below depending on the device you have

Perform a full reset of the app. The steps vary by device (Elo, Android, or iOS) — find the guide for your device below:

🔧 Action 2 for Elo Devices (Z30, Z10): Reinstalling Kanpla POS

If your Kanpla POS system is acting up or performing inconsistently, a clean reinstallation of the app is often the most efficient way to fix it.

Follow the steps below to reset the app and get back to business:


Step 1: Open Settings on POS device

Tap on the white circle navigation button to return to the Desktop view.

Locate and open the Settings app (⚙️).


Step 2: Find the Kanpla POS App

Navigate to:

StorageOther apps (on some devices, this may be under Apps or App Management)

Scroll through the list or use the search function to find Kanpla POS.

Tap the app to open its details.


Step 3: Clear App Storage

Tap Clear Storage (or Clear Data, depending on your device).

Confirm the action when prompted. This will erase all local data and reset the app to its default state.


Step 4: Reopen and Set Up the App

Launch Kanpla POS and sign in using your:

  • Email

  • Password

Select your Salesplace and License (this refers to the specific till assigned to the device—ask your admin if unsure).


Step 5: Confirm Device Setup

Check that all peripheral devices (e.g., cash drawer, payment terminal, scale) are still connected in the Device Setup section.

🤖 Action 2 for Android Tablets: Clearing App Storage (e.g., Samsung, Lenovo)

While the steps may differ slightly depending on the device model and Android version, the general process remains the same.


Step 1: Open Settings

From the Home screen or app drawer, tap the Settings app (⚙️).


Step 2: Access Apps

Scroll down and tap Apps, Applications, or App Management (wording may vary).


Step 3: Locate Kanpla POS

Find and tap Kanpla POS in the list of installed apps.

Step 4: Clear Storage

Tap Storage or Storage & Cache.

Then tap Clear Storage or Clear Data.

Confirm the action when prompted.


Step 5: Reopen and Set Up the App

Launch Kanpla POS and log in with your:

  • Email

  • Password

Choose your Salesplace and License.


Step 6: Verify Peripheral Connections

Ensure all hardware (like printers and payment terminals) is connected under the Device Setup section.

🍎 Action 2 for iPad (iOS): How to Clear Kanpla POS Storage

iPads don't support traditional cache clearing like Android. Instead, you can either offload or delete the app for a fresh start.


Step 1: Open Settings

From the Home screen, tap the Settings app.


Step 2: Navigate to iPad Storage

In the sidebar, tap General. Then tap iPad Storage on the right panel.


Step 3: Find Kanpla POS

Wait a moment for the list of apps to load.

Scroll down and tap Kanpla POS.


Step 4: Delete App.

  • Delete App: Removes both the app and its data. Best for a full reset.


Step 5: Reinstall Kanpla POS

To reinstall:

Open the App Store, search for Kanpla POS, and tap Download.

Then, sign in and set up:

  • Email

  • Password

  • Select your Salesplace and License


Step 6: Verify Peripheral Connections

Ensure all hardware (like printers and payment terminals) is connected under the Device Setup section.
