How do I create a closing period for a selector? (2 minute read)

Updated over 2 months ago

Note: As a salesplace operator, you can currently set a closing period only for an entire salesplace, not for individual selectors.

We recommend, instead, sending an in-app push notification to all users at the salesplace. This message should include the specific selector (such as a company or class) and the period when deliveries will be paused.

For example, if a class is going on a field trip, notifying parents can help prevent accidental orders during that time. For guidance on sending push notifications, refer to our [in-app push notification guide].

Note: For users with recrring ordering flow:

If users have a recurring order selection set up in their app, we recommend advising them to set up a vacation period to prevent automatic renewal and payment for orders during times when the selector is not scheduled to receive deliveries.

Users can activate this by navigating to their ordering module, scrolling to the bottom, and selecting the vacation option.

Note regarding Refunds: If a user mistakenly places an order during the closed period, you can assist them with the refund process. For guidance on how to issue a refund, please refer to our [how to refund a user guide].
