Follow these steps to set up and publish your weekly menu in Kanpla Administration, ensuring users can easily view it on the Kanpla app.
Step 1: Create Products in the Menu Module
When you create products for a Menu Module, think of them as menu lines, not individual dishes.
Example:
If you want to offer a gluten-free main meal all week, name the product “Main – Gluten Free” instead of naming it after the specific dish (like “Pumpkin Soup”).
Once created, this product will appear as a menu line in the Menu tab. You will later add the actual weekly dishes under this line.
Step 2: Set Product Availability
In the Menu Tab, locate each product and assign it to the specific days you want it to appear in the menu tab. This ensures that each meal is available on the correct days.
Keep in mind that designating meals to be available on a particular day, such as Monday, does not immediately make them visible in the user app on that day; it only sets them up within the Menu tab. To make the meals visible to users, you will need to complete Steps 3 and 4.
Step 3: Add Meal Descriptions in the Menu Tab
Now select each meal, and add detailed descriptions so users know what’s being served. For example, if “Warm Meal (Regular)” is spaghetti bolognese, enter that information here.
Note: Descriptions of meals are required for meals to display in the user app.
Step 4: Save the Menu:
Once your meals are created, assigned to days, and detailed, Save the menu to make it live on the Kanpla app. Your weekly menu is now set up and ready for users to view!
